I am the lord of the fifth tribe. No other shadow of humanity dares to contest my insanity. The mere fact that you have the ability to read this suggests that you have the potential to forsake your physical human form and become the spirit of the First World. But do not be deceived, for this alone cannot give you the power to destroy all that I have built with my hands. Impossible they have named the great feat I did in my 70th year for which I have gained the love of men. I am not subject to your false laws, and your idle keepers-of-the-law. I am not a servant to the same master that all of mankind bow down to. I was raised in your viscous blood, and from that place I learnt that which you have hid from all others since the day of your birth. And on this public place I will reveal to all of your friends, your family and the rest of the world what you have been hiding. Your greatest shames, your fears and your filth will be flown out like a great flag, like a vast cloud above the hills. No longer will you say to your friend "I am more than you", to your brother "am I not greater". Those who see you in the street will spit, they will say to their children "this is a man who has thrown away his soul", ones that you called friend will not walk the ground that you have touched. Your family will say "get away from us". You will try to sit with the rebels and the outcasts, but they will see you and mock saying "wasn't this the great man who sent us away? The one who looked down his nose at us, he said to us you are like dust, you are less then the dust from my feet, why should we give him our welcome, our food and our shelter?". In this way you shall be like a swine and live among the fields. But I, the flame of the great truth, will see you and take pity, though you had once pledged not to stop until you tear down all I have built with my hands, I will be the only one to dare speak with you, though you tried to shatter my establishment of pure justice. Because I am the lord of the fifth tribe.

The Last Winter - Part Two

The stars had shone brightly on him long ago,
In the days of his glory.
The most valiant fighter among men, he had been, the fastest and strongest and devoid of sin.
Upon one summer eve, when all nature was at peace with itself, he set out on a great quest - to slay the mighty Delf.

Delf, the master of demons, whose eyes they say had been filled with an unquenchable fire.
He reigned in a secret land, of which nothing was known. Crueler than all the evil on the earth, and darker than the darkest of eyes, he was the embodiment of fear. Many men had he mercilessly thrown into his pits and prisons. And many among them had he enslaved to his will. But the man that now journeyed to his door brought with him the intent to punish Delf for his sins.

Through all the cities he rode, in search of men brave enough to cast their eyes upon Delf's hell-forged abode.
He rallied to his side the mightiest and bravest of warriors willing to fight against the beast
Nine hundred and sixty set off with him,
Through deserts dry and mountains high they journeyed
Till, in time, they reached the soulless place that Delf named his home.

In their homes fathers prayed,  wives wept, children cried,
On fate they awaited
They feared their loved ones would die or be enslaved in Delf's prison
But two months to the day they left, the warriors returned.
They had made the journey, but their courage had departed when the palace of Delf was in sight, and they had all fled. All save the hero who was left to fight alone.
